One of the big issues I help clients with is helping them align their emotions…
Aim For Progress Not Perfection
One of the common issues I help clients with is taming their own inner critics so they can own and use their power, gifts, and talents in optimal ways.
When clients have this issue and I look at their energy fields, I often see a mass of white in their solar plexus area aka their 3rd chakra. (White is perfectionism and the 3rd chakra is our power center.)
We need to fully own and use our power so it supports us in sharing our gifts, skills, and talents if we are to manifest our most fulfilling life. We all have gifts and talents that are here to support us on our path and to share with the world. They are a source of our personal power. They are tools that give us the ability to create a fulfilling meaningful life.
But for many of us, our gifts come easily. So easily we may not even see the value in sharing them with others and the world.
We can feel “pushy” or like “show-offs” when we attempt to get out there and share what we have to offer. We may have “impostor syndrome” and feel like: “Who am I to share this?” “Is this really good enough?” “Am I really good enough?”
Taking steps that will empower us and put us in a position of leadership can feel uncomfortable and intimidating. We might ask ourselves, “Who am I to be a leader?” “What if I don’t lead others in the best way?” or even. “Will I abuse my power?”
It is easy to feel uncomfortable about stepping into our own power when we see how power is abused by so many politicians and business leaders. We can wonder, will I turn into one of “them”?
A quick reality check: if you are questioning you’re own capabilities to lead because of your own conscientiousness about doing the best job possible–no worries! You already have a high level of integrity that will most likely render you incapable of abusing power.
Here are some questions to ask yourself to help you tame your inner critic and embrace your next level of leadership and empowerment.
1) Have I been holding myself back from my own empowerment? How?
Think of a situation where you could perhaps be more proactive or take a bigger leadership role.
2) What has been stopping me from moving into this next level of empowerment?
What’s been holding you back? Are there old messages you received that told you you didn’t have what it took to be a leader? Or that it was not okay for you to stand up for yourself? What were those messages?
3) Think of those old messages in relation to you and your life today.
Are you still holding those messages as true now? How you can change those messages to positive ones that support you and your empowerment?
4) Take proactive aligned action.
What action step can you take right now that will move you more into your own empowerment? It doesn’t have to be huge, just something that will get you moving in the right direction. Commit to that step, then take it.
Many times the only thing that is standing between us and our dreams is the negative critical voice that plays in our heads. Just recognizing that it’s running us can be enough to reboot us into that positive creative flow that moves us towards our heart’s desires.
