Are You Seeing Your Opportunities?

One of the common issues I help clients with is releasing their inner perfectionist so they can more open to seeing the opportunities and gifts that are currently available to them.

When clients have this issue and I look at their energy fields,  I often see a mass of white in their forehead area, aka their 6th chakra. (White is perfectionism and the 6th chakra is our life path and vision center.)

Our Perfect Goal

Many times when we have set a goal for ourselves we have a very specific idea of what it should look like when it manifests. We can get very attached to this particular vision of our goal. So much in fact that we can overlook or reject any opportunity that doesn’t look exactly like the goal we imagined.

Often the universe has other ideas about how our goals will show up in our life. It sends them to us in ways that frequently do not look exactly the way we imagined. This makes it hard to recognize them as the gifts that they are. 

Avoiding the Trap

How can we avoid this trap and be open to seeing the opportunities that are right in front of our noses?

We rein in our own inner critic.

This is the culprit that can blind us to seeing the gifts that are here for us. Our ego’s inner critic can reject opportunities as “not good enough” or not “up to our standard.”  The inner critic is what creates our confusion and “blind spots.”

We need to ask ourselves: are our egos rejecting something or someone that would actually be good for us?

How do we find out?

We check in with our hearts. The inner critic and our unhealthy ego live in our heads and our lower chakras. Our heart is where balance and connection to our higher good are located. Tuning into our heart chakra can give us a better more holistic perspective of what will be best for us.

Next time you are faced with a possibility that you are unsure is an opportunity, check in with your heart chakra. See what it has to tell you about it. It might surprise you.
